How to write good advertising content?
To write successful advertisement content is to catch the attention of the customer at first sight as they flicker though the brochures and fliers like they flip through a magazine and not how they will read books with concentration. It need not be necessary that the customer reads each and every line of the advertisement; hence, each line should be effective and should pass out a message. So it’s not only necessary to write logical matter, but it should also be creative enough.
Firstly, only relevant and specific matter should be written in the ad. Some content writers fear missing out information and write as much as they can. This will only disinterest the customers more and space will be wasted. The writing style should be related to the type of flier or brochure that is to be written. Its usual for the reader to read skipping lines in between and there is a possibility that they will read it from bottom to top. It always helps to use words that sell. But still, the content should be properly organized with the heading at the top, body in the middle and conclusion at the end. The main points can be written as sub-headings, in bold font. The body following the sub-heading should discuss the sub-heading and if it is related to any other sub-heading, even those points should be discussed. If the product is to be discussed from the technical point, it should not be so technical that it sounds like a foreign language to a common man.
Chucking is another technique that can be used. Chucking is writing small stories with conclusion at the end. They can either have or not have connection between themselves. Its better if they aren’t connected, because it won’t require the reader to go back to a previous chunk in order to understand the present chunk he is reading. This works quite well when there are pictures in the advertisement and the chunk illustrates the picture. The two-dimensional picture is speechless unless some well-chosen words talks about it and motivates the customers. Obviously, while chucking, sub-headings can be used to let out critical information. Another point to be considered is the product or company about which the content is based on. Suppose if the brochure is related to a corporate, the style of writing should be formal.
Spelling mistakes should be avoided to the maximum extent. They reflect poor quality and bring bad reputation to the client. The design should speak clearly and loudly about the organization being discussed. Unclear, cluttered and illogical information creates an illusion that the company also has the same characteristics. Catalogues are the only source of advertisement for some businesses, because of low investments. Such kind of business catalogues won’t require much writing, just product description will do. Instead one can work on the font sizes, colors, etc.
The next step should be writing information about contacts so as to buy the product; detailed forms are big turn-off. Contact information, postal address and website URL should be clearly specified. Also include whether the business accepts cash, check or credit card. Another thing to be taken care of is the contact information, which is usually written on the forms, which have to be mailed. It is better to write them on the advertisement also so that the customers can save it for future reference.
After the final content is written, it’s the time for organizing it. Depending on the demand of the products, arrange them in hierarchy, especially when designing a catalogue because each of the products should get the consideration and attention they deserve.
It is a good habit to write down procedures, which have been applied to every kind of advertisements written. And also save the information like what customers were targeted with what kind of advertisements, to use to the same kind of logic the next time to similar customers. Smart shoppers are attracted to pink, light blue and navy blue colors. Companies use colors in logo, advertisement, etc., to pass the right message to the customer. Wal-Mart advertise has a navy blue background and its catch line is “We sell for less”, which means smart customers are their goal. Mercedes has a silver logo, true to its class.
Before designing an advertisement, the targeted customers should be recognized and the advertisers shouldn’t use the colors that are their personal favorites but according to the ad campaign. Advertisement for children should have bright and vibrant colors. Yellow, red, blue and green, which are the primary colors, are the colors, which attract the children, which is why parents buy those colors for their kids. These colors represent warmth, sweetness, trust, reliability, playfulness and security.

For any corporation it is very important to create a distinct image in the market. This is known as Corporate Image which distinguishes the corporation from its competitors and provides a picture of it to the general public. Getting Started With Adsense
A very important element in the rapid adoption of AdSense is that it has been very easy for publishers to get the ads on their site as quickly as possible.
Integrating AdSense in your website takes only a few minutes, and you can be on your way with one or more nicely integrated AdSense ads.
The first thing you need to do is navigate to http://www.google.com/adsense and either apply or log in with your existing account and password. What follows is a page presenting the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions which you must agree to in order to proceed.
You are presented with a report page which you can use to get a detailed status on how your AdSense advertising is doing. This allows you to improve your site’s contents and layout to maximize your AdSense earnings.
On the top of your page you also have link to the setup section where you can generate the code that will need to be pasted on your website in order to have AdSense banners on your page.
You can use AdSense for text (the said ads), using a search box or with referrals. Your choice among these options depends on how users will navigate your site.
Finally, there is a “My Account” tab which allows you to set up details concerning your account, payment and tax information.
To add a text ad on your site, go back to the “AdSense Setup” tab and click the “AdSense for content” link. Make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser.

Out of the many things I have tried I have found one thing that really does work. It isn’t a MLM or stuffing letters at home. What I am talking about is an Investment club I have joined. With the investment club I have had the pleasure to experience a larger return on my money than I ever thought imaginable, especially in these hard economic times. Now I am not talking about returns of 500 or 600% on my money. No, what I am talking about is a consistent overall average of 17% (It isn’t and wasn’t with Bernie Madoff) annualized return. Going off into left field here but many of you are not aware of how I love to go on and on about this and that, telling stories, spinning yarns and fables. You soon will know and look forward to these instances because they are amusing and entertaining. Kinda like the time in 1982 in Salina Kansas when I was standing on top of a garbage truck to change a light bulb in the garage I was working in (rebuilding the engine of the garbage truck) (QUICK NOTE: Whenever working on a garbage truck in a confined space for whatever reason, be sure it has been emptied) moving forward about the light bulb, here I was standing on top of this garbage truck to change a light bulb when someone walked into the garage hollering for me when I spun around breaking the bulb with my elbow, not a whole lot wrong with that other than the power to the light bulb was on and when I broke the light bulb, the electricity grabbed ahold of me (and I ain’t puny by no means 210 pounds to be exact) shaking me as a 5 year shakes his piggy bank to get enough money to buy a Popsicle, and it was not letting me go. So here I am being shook by the surging current of the electric (and yes before you ask, I did wet myself which didn’t help matters) until I no longer had the ability to stand any longer. YES! That is what saved me from being electrocuted (fried like a criminal on judgment day) dropping from the top of the garbage truck to the ground; you can bet that hurt but I didn’t know because I was unconscious. I later woke up all busted up and broken in the hospital, that’s when you really knew that it hurt. Anyhow, that is why I act the way I do to this very day. Of course you ask and just how is it that I act? My response to that is for you to hang around here for awhile and follow my tales and fables and you will see. If you think that the story I have just told is absolutely gut splitting and probably the best I got, I beg to differ, that is just the beginning, like the time I was a truck driver and in the dead of the early morning, on my flat bed trailer was dancing . . . . I can’t go on with that tale because I really want to have a blog that is appropriate for any one but that truck driver story is a DOOZIE! By now you are most likely asking yourself “What does all of that really have to do with wanting to Get Rich”? Well I want to get rich and after a fall like that I bet you would too! Not really, the gist was that by joining the investment club and the opportunities were a great way in to begin the journey, my journey to riches. The importance of this goes back to the year 1999 when the stock market went crazy and many dot comm.’s ceased to exist. Problem was I lost everything I had, all hope in my retirement funds gone up in smoke, all gone . . . Just this month (2009-07) with the returns from my latest investments, I am now even, I have earned to this day every penny I lost in the dot com dive. One of the keys was when I rolled over my abandoned 401k to a self directed IRA and invested it and continuing to re-invest it. The best news is that before the year 2009 is over, I will be in a growth mode to where I will have a retirement fund, which I will desperately need because I am no longer a spring chicken. I’ll have you know being 53 years young (not only do I like to blog but I love to play which bears witness to my being a serious contender in winning as the boy with the most toys notoriety; just ask my wife) and possibly having my retirement funded. That pretty much is what it is all about. I want to be rich and possibly I will find the magic to do so as I continue to muddle my way through this perplexing mystery which I liken to being in a long dark tunnel, so as long as I keep moving, I eventually find the light growing and glowing brighter as I got closer to gathering the riches I sought.
