Your Website Can Produce a Steady Income
When you enter in to the internet marketing arena you need to be prepared and in this instance I am talking about your website or at least the website you should have. There is no more important element than having the correct tools to conduct business.
There are many freebies available such as domains, blogs and social media (Web 2.0) that you can use but I would only suggest using those for practice only. One good reason is if you find a good measure of success on the free site and then with that domain you will never be able to transfer it or own it. You will find that if you have a page ranking there that you will not likely have that domain any more. In essence you built a page rank for someone else for free.
You need to select a domain name and then when you have a domain registered you will then need web hosting and though I rarely make recommendations in the instance of web hosting I don’t think you can go wrong with GoDaddy.com Be sure that you get a promo coupon from the website before signing up so that you save some money there.
You may have seen me say that you need to have a professional do this and do that. I still recommend this for your website design unless you are a seasoned web designer. I say this because your website is the most critical element in conducting business on the internet and you do not want to begin by doing it wrong. I will not try to say that you can begin this business for no money at all or next to none. It is going to take a bit of cash to get you launched properly and you need to do it right as I always will say is that Newbies should have a website already, so what’s the hold up?
Having a presence on the internet does not give you instant traffic to your website you need to develop this by learning about Search Engine Optimization, Article Marketing and beginning and keeping up with a Blog of your own. I can never say enough or stress enough how important it is to lean and master keyword usage and research. When you have truly mastered and I do mean MASTERED keyword usage and research you will then be the master of your own domain. You da man! If I may say that if you drop me an email asking for my book on Traffic Building and Keyword Research I will give them to you for no cost; my gift to you in launching your new business venture.

Among the many things you need to know and need to learn the next is Article Marketing and again the importance is so great that unless you are a seasoned writer and intimate with the subject you will be writing about I would suggest that you get a professional from again searching with Google for an Article writer that will do a 500-600 word article for you at about $5.00 per article. I would get at least 20 article to get your launch going correctly and free up your time for other business building activity. I have written blogs and many others also have on the subject of building your online business so finding blogs to read is easy! when it comes to those subjects in building your online business.
The venture of beginning a new business and then that of doing it on the internet is really extensive and as such is too much to cover in this article but I have written many blogs and articles on this subject and suggest that you look into my blog and articles or if you just want to cut to the chase email me to send you an eBook on this subject.
One of my passions that was realized with my journey into internet marketing was writing and as such I have written an eBook on just about every facet of internet marketing and I am making this offer to you, just email me asking for an eBook on the subject you need or just tell me what you want to know or learn and I will send you the appropriate eBook for you. No cost, my way of paying forward in gratitude for the success I have found in running an internet business.
Throughout my life and in business I have learned and adhere to some very simple philosophies and one of my favorites is ask and you will receive. Be diligent and do not half step in build you successful business with buckets full of cash as your income stream.

Internet Marketing Secrets for Growth and Profit
When you have been operating a successful internet marketing website there is a natural inclination that usually follows and that is growth in profits which are the main goals of most business people today and when you know the time tested and proven internet marketing secrets, your goals will be well within your attainment. With the online virtual marketing platform providing a very wide scope for success, it isn’t surprising at all to see most business people turning to the World Wide Web to promote their services and products.

Running a successful website entails constant work even though the buzz word used to describe the mode of operation for once your website is up and running is “Autopilot”. Having your website run on autopilot is a true enough fact if you are satisfied with a mediocre income but as a pilot flying on autopilot he usually checks his bearings and makes corrections as you should do with your internet business. One strategy may be in how to identify the highest paying affiliate programs to see if that maybe you may need to change course a bit.
To grow that success you now need to consider looking for a target audience, identify the niche market that you want to specialize in and then monitor your return on investment on a consistent and regular manner. Luckily, the virtual internet market has parameters that can measure the results of a business far much quicker than when dealing with a traditional brick and mortar business. This greatly helps you in analyzing the SWOT (Strength, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) involved. You will be able to decide the most effective strategies to continue with as well as which ones is a simple waste of precious time.
Review the strategy you have used in doing your SEO for your website and include searching to see if new methods have been published so that when your promotional and marketing campaign is over, your target audience will always find your website whenever they want to.
Follow closely the analytics you have in place to see how the traffic is doing once it hits your site and how long are they staying on your site. This will gauge your marketing and promotional campaigns; observably you have to see targeted traffic on your sales pages. To be able to do this effectively, you might want to tread in new ground and try new things if you haven’t started already, such as Affiliate marketing, Google Ad Sense, among others.
Have other people you trust to review your landing pages, squeeze pages so that you know that the people you are targeting will find them to be informative and resourceful containing detailed information of what is available on your banner ads. This way those who click on an ad to arrive at the landing page will be able to make an informed decision easily. Needless to mention, you can easily lose a potential client if they have to endlessly search for the products they want.
When one speaks of secrets and the walking dead one really is just speaking of common sense, the ability to weed through the malarkey which encompasses this business if you don’t keep up on everything as you grow. You will become lost as being out to sea without an oar to row your boat and a sextant to know where your location. Keep focused and know where you are going and how you want to get there.

Finding your blogging niche should be one of the aspects of blogging which the blogger carefully considers before starting a blog. This is especially important if the blogging is being done for the purpose of financial compensation. Ideally a blog owner should select a blog subject about which they are passionate and knowledgeable. However, bloggers should also carefully consider the direct competition as well as the purpose of the blog before starting their blog. This article will discuss these considerations in greater detail in an attempt to assists bloggers in choosing a subject for a new blog. This information is applicable to both bloggers who are completely new to blogging as well as experienced bloggers who are considering starting a new blog.
Isolating Your Interests
One of the first considerations for a new blogger is his personal interests. This is important because a blogger who is passionate and knowledgeable about a particular subject will not only have an easy time coming up with ideas for new blog posts but will also likely be highly successful. This success will likely be attributable to the fact that blog visitors can sense his passion for the subject matter and greatly appreciate the knowledgeable posts which are informative and accurate.
The interests of the blogger may run the gamut from subjects which are widely popular to subjects which are of interest to only a small subset of the population. However, there will likely be interested readers regardless of the subject of the blog. Therefore bloggers are not discouraged from opting to blog about even the most obscure subjects. However, bloggers who are seeking financial gain through high blog traffic should consider selecting a topic which appeals to a larger audience.
Evaluating the Competition
Once a blogger has selected one or more subjects he is considering for a blog, it is time to begin evaluating the competition. This includes viewing other blogs covering the same subject matter. This will not only give the blogger a good indication of whether or not the market is already saturated with blogs on this subject and the quality of the existing blogs on this subject. Based on this information the blogger can make an informed decision about whether or not he feels capable of competing for blog traffic with the existing blogs.
Considering the Purpose of the Blog
Another important consideration for bloggers is the purpose of the blogs. Blogs can be created for a variety of reasons including financial compensation, personal use or to promote a cause. Bloggers who are starting a blog for personal use may only wish to consider their own interests when starting a blog because they are not likely seeking high blog traffic. However, bloggers who are creating a blog for purposes of generating a profit or promoting a cause do have to consider factors such as the ability to generate blog traffic. In these cases the blogger should choose a subject which appeals to a large audience. Additionally, the Internet should not already be saturated with blogs on this subject because it will likely be difficult for the new blog to garner a share of blog traffic. Finally, blog owners should consider the quality of the blog they are capable of creating on a particular subject. The blogger should choose a subject where he is confident he can not only make regular posts but also ensure these posts are original, informative and interesting.

Blogging for Fun
Although blogging can be used for a variety of other purposes such as generating income, promoting a cause and providing information there are many bloggers who enjoy blogging simply because it is fun. These bloggers enjoy blogging for reasons such as staying in touch with friends, expressing themselves or keeping a record of important events. This article will explain how blogs can be used for these purposes.
Blogging to Stay in Touch with Friends
Staying in touch with friends and family members is just one of the many reasons a person may wish to start a blog. This is especially useful for those who move far away from their friends and family members. Staying in touch by phone, regular visits and even email is not always easy. This is because it can be difficult to keep up long distance interactions with several different people at once. However, by maintaining a blog, a person can greatly simplify the process of staying in touch with friends and family members because they do not have to repeat information in individual phone calls or emails or make time to visit several different people.
When maintaining a blog, the individual can choose to post a variety of information and photos. Through this information and photos the blog owner can keep others informed about current events in his life. Friends and family members can view the blog at their convenience to catch up on important events in the blog owner’s life and in most cases can post comments to the blog owner. They can also read comments from others. This is beneficial if those viewing the blog know each other because they can not only stay in touch with the blog owner but also have a chance to communicate with other friends and family members through the comments section of the blog.
Blogging as a Form of Expression
Some bloggers begin blogging as a form of expression. They may right poetry, songs, short stories or even use the blog to vent about personal events or politics. These bloggers may wish to keep their blog private or can make the blog available to the public. Keeping the blog private is sort of like keeping a diary or a journal. It gives the blogger a multi-media form of expressing himself without the risk of others discovering his true feelings, innermost dreams or frustrations. Other bloggers opt to make these blogs public. This may be for a number of different reasons. Sharing these feelings with others allows the blogger to reach others who may have the same interest as the blogger.
Bloggers who use their blog as a form of personal expression may want to be cautious and consider the decision to make a blog public. This is important because the blog owner may initially not see problems with allowing others to view his personal thoughts. However, over time he may realize his blog could either be offensive to others or could result in problems if friends or family members view the blog.
Blogging to Keep a Record of Events
Another common reason for blogging is to keep a record of important events. Examples of some types of events which a blogger may wish to document include a pregnancy, weddings, vacations, sporting events or completion of school events. Using blogs to keep a record of these events gives the blogger an opportunity to record daily events in one simple location where they can easily look back on the blog or share the postings with others who might be interested in the events. In these cases the blog can serve as a form of scrapbook documenting the events as they occur. The blog owner can post as often as he desires and may choose to include elements such as photos, music, audio files and video files into the blog. The blog can also be designed to suit the events being documented. For example a journal depicting a vacation may have backgrounds, fonts and colors representing the vacation location while a pregnancy blog may feature elements which represent pregnancy, babies and being parents.

No. 2 in Web Design Series – 5 Ways to Keep Visitors Coming Back
A lot of successful websites depend on returning visitors to account for a major part of their traffic. Returning visitors are easier to convert into paying customers because the more often they return to a site, the more trust they have in that site. The credibility issue just melts away. Hence, keep your visitors coming back to your site with the following methods:
1) Start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox
When you start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox, you are providing your visitors a place to voice their opinions and interact with their peers — all of them are visitors of your site. As conversations build up, a sense of community will also follow and your visitors will come back to your site almost religiously every day.
2) Start a web log (blog)
Keep an online journal, or more commonly known as a blog, on your site and keep it updated with latest news about yourself. Human beings are curious creatures and they will keep their eyes glued to the monitor if you post fresh news frequently. You will also build up your credibility as you are proving to them that there is also a real life person behind the website.
3) Carry out polls or surveys
Polls and surveys are other forms of interaction that you should definitely consider adding to your site. They provide a quick way for visitors to voice their opinions and to get involved in your website. Be sure to publish polls or surveys that are strongly relevant to the target market of your website to keep them interested to find out about the results.
4) Hold puzzles, quizzes and games
Just imagine how many office workers procrastinate at work every day, and you will be able to gauge how many people will keep visiting your site if you provide a very interesting or addicting way of entertainment. You can also hold competitions to award the high score winner to keep people trying continuously to earn the prize.
5) Update frequently with fresh content
Update your site frequently with fresh content so that every time your visitors come back, they will have something to read on your site. This is the most widely known and most effective method of attracting returning visitors, but this is also the least carried out one because of the laziness of webmasters. No one will want to browse a site that looks the same over ten years, so keep your site updated with fresh bites!

Careers in Blogging
Many freelance writers are beginning to find blogging is one of the newest career opportunities available to them. Blogging is essentially a series of postings on a particular subject which are listed in reverse chronological order. These blogs may be about a variety of different subjects and may be personal, political, informative, humorous or any other category desired by the blogger. However, the key to a successful blog is a blog which pertains to a subject which appeals to a wide audience. Additionally the blog should be updated regularly and should provide useful content to the readers of the blog. This article will provide some information on finding career opportunities in blogging, will discuss the benefits of this type of career and will provide information on how writers can manage a blog successfully.
Finding Blogging Career Opportunities
Although blogging career opportunities are becoming increasingly popular, many writers are not aware of how to find these wonderful opportunities. These career opportunities may be offered as ghost writing positions or as positions offering a byline to the writer and finding these blogging opportunities is often very similar to finding any other career opportunities for writers. Companies seeking a blogger may post the job opening in the same manner in which they would post other openings with the company such as accounting positions or administrative positions. Therefore, writers interested in a position as a blogger should utilize the same job search websites they rely on to find other career opportunities.
Bloggers may also wish to visit career websites and message boards which focus exclusively on careers in blogging. The ProBlogger.net website is just one example of a website dedicated exclusively to putting bloggers in connection with those who are interested in hiring a writer for a particular blog. Interested bloggers should also consider joining message boards for those who blog for a living. This can be beneficial because here bloggers are likely to share information regarding the companies for which they work as well as any information they have about companies who are currently looking to hire bloggers.
The Benefits of a Career in Blogging
There are many benefits to pursuing a career in blogging. Perhaps one of the most alluring benefits to a career in blogging is the work can typically be done as a telecommute position. This is because as long as the blogger has access to the software necessary to write and upload a blog, there is no need for the blogger to perform the work from a specific location. This means the blogger can reside virtually anywhere in the world and can likely perform the necessary work from his own home. However, not all blogging positions are telecommute positions. Some companies may require bloggers to perform the work onsite as a matter of personal preference.
Another benefit to a career in blogging is the ability to accomplish work at a pace which his convenient to the blogger. The blogger may be required to upload a new post to the blog according to a regular schedule but the actually writing of the posts can be accomplished when it is convenient for the blogger. Many blogging software packages enable the blogger to set a specific time for a specific post to be uploaded. This allows the blogger to write several posts at a time and have them publish according to a pre-determined schedule.
Finding Time to Blog
One of the problems which many bloggers face is finding the time to blog. This is especially difficult if the blogger maintains several blogs or if the blogger maintains a current events blog in which posts must be timely in order to be relevant and of interest to the readers. Writing blog posts in batches and scheduling them to publish as needed is one way to deal with managing several blogs. However, writers of blogs related to current events must take special care to budget their time wisely to ensure they are publishing topical blog posts. One way this can be accomplished is by setting aside time daily to reading current events to derive inspiration and then scheduling time after that to write and publish the blog. For example a blogger with a current events blog might choose to review the previous day’s news the first thing in the morning to ensure they are reviewing all of the relevant news from the previous day before writing the blog post.

Your Guide For Blog Marketing
Blogs also known as web logs are the latest thing on the internet. With there being so many blogs out there in cyber world, how do you make yours known and get people to read it. How do you have the most often read blog on the market that you are promoting? Because there are so many people that are trying to all accomplish the same thing, how are you going to stand out?
There are several things that you can do to make your blog marketing a success, and we are going to cover some of them right here. The first thing that you should know is that you should have your blog URL pointing to your market. For example, if you are trying to promote and sell sunglasses from your blog, you want your URL to say www.sunglasses.blogurl.com. Doing so will give you an extra advantage.
The next step would be to customize your blog. Rather than having the same old blog interface like everyone else has, make your unique and interesting to look at. This will also help anyone from getting your blog confused with others that look just like it. There are so many types of blog software on the market that having your own look should not be that difficult to accomplish.
Keyword research is another very important part of blog marketing. If you are not using the keywords that people search on, then chances are no one is going to find your blog. Have a variety of keywords in your blog as well. Not just the same one over and over. Not everyone just uses the term ‘sunglasses’ when they are searching for shades to keep the sun out of their eyes. Keyword research is an important factor to remember.
Using SEO on your blog, which stands for search engine optimization is a great idea as well. SEO will help get your blog out there and read, and will also help you get a better ranking with Google. Being as high as you can be in the Google search engine results is something that you want.
Find other sites and blogs that are in the same market as yours, but not in direct competition with you to exchange links with. This will help you out a lot as well, especially if you can get some good exchanges with high authority sites. The higher the page rank of your link exchange, the better for your blog.
Many people do not realize this, but having a different title tag in the HTML code on each page makes a big difference. If you have given the first page on your blog the title of ‘sunglasses’, you need to be sure that none of your other pages are named this. Doing so will make Google think that you are spamming that keyword, and that will result in them punishing your blog URL.
Once you have done your keyword research, you will want to write content based on the research you have done. Using one or two keywords, make entries into your blog using the keywords will make it easy for your blog to be indexed under those terms. That will also result in people searching on those particular terms able to find your blog.
Pinging your blog frequently is another good way to get your blog seen. Every time that you update it, use the ping tools to ping it. This will let all of the blog directories know that you have added something new to your blog. This also brings you in some more traffic.
Blog marketing is pretty much the same as website marketing. However, if you have never had a website, and are not familiar with marketing these great tips will help you get started. Be sure that you put new entries into your blog on a regular basis as well. This will help keep you up to date and current and also will keep your readers coming back for more.

Will Blog for Money
Do you blog to have fun or to make money? Which do you prefer?
Blogs are enjoyable to create. It gives people a forum to voice their opinions on various issues or just make general observations on life. You can say what you want about anything. Your blog can be your personal diary and can also be your public journal for everyone else to read what you think. It can be fun and also therapeutic to allow other people to see the thoughts that run amuck inside your head and also allows you to have others comment on those thoughts.
Changes take place almost daily on the internet, and this creates a need for constant updating, which has led to the growing popularity of blogs. They are used as personal journals (as mentioned previously) but have also become useful in many other ways. They can be forums for political platforms, advertising, and even income. Blogging has now reached the stage where bloggers can both have fun AND make money!
Writing a blog as a way to make money is something that just about anyone can do. However, not as many have actually made the money they had expected to make. This is primarily due to two reasons. First of all, people blog with the unrealistic expectation that if they blog, they will automatically make money almost immediately. This is a false statement because building a blog readership takes time. This is especially true if the subject matter of the blog is not as interesting to people as a whole but is instead more specific to a smaller group. Secondly, blogers do not create a doable plan that will help lead them to those riches and help them make it through the slower times. Too often, people set high expectations and then experience disappointment when those expectations are not met quickly, and then they lose some of the momentum they had for writing the blogs in the first place.
If you want to make a considerable amount of money with blogs, you have to consider them as a business instead of just a hobby. You must spend a great deal of time looking to get website traffic to your site. The more traffic you have, the easier it is to generate that income.
So, just how can you get that traffic to your blog? You first need to get your own domain name. You can use some free blogging sites, but it is best to also have your own domain name to add credibility to your blog. Next, you need to create a plan for how you will run your blog. You can use blogging software to make it easier, and it is important to network with other bloggers to help promote each other’s sites. Finally, the most important step is to regularly update your bolg. Add posts consistently, posting four or five times a week. Include articles that are current and remember that people want to keep up with the trends.
Take time and put forth the effort to make your blog really stand out. Make it visually appealing with pictures and videos that are relevant to the content located there. Reach out to your audience in ways that are applicable to them.

Understanding Blogs
Blog is actually a shortened version of the word “weblog.” The word is used as a noun
referring to the actual weblog and also as a verb meaning “to edit or post to one’s
weblog.”
A very simplified definition of a blog as used today would be as follows:
Blog: a journal displayed over the internet that is updated often and is meant for display
to the public; this journal is most often displayed in reverse chronological order.
There are a number of different types of blogs. Each is slightly different in how it is
written or in the way in which it is delivered to the audience.
Media – includes Vlogs (video blogs), linklogs (link blogs), and photologs (blogs of
photographs).
Device – Some blogs are categorized by the type of program used to compose the blog.
Some are done strictly on computer programs while others are moblogs, or those written
on mobile devices such as phones or PDAs.
Genre – A final descriptive element of the blog is the genre or topic area in which the
blog galls. For example, blogs typically fall into one subject area such as politics, travel,
consumer products, and/or others.
Most blogs have the same general structure, although some will vary slightly. Below is a
typical blog structure:
Title: This is the ‘headline’ for the post.
Body: This is the main content of the post.
Permalink: This is a url that will direct readers to a full length article, if available. This
option is not always used, especially in personal blogs.
Post Date: This tells the date and time of publication.
Comments: These are remarks that are left by readers regarding the post.
Categories (Tags): This is usually a listing of previous articles that are related to the
current article.
Trackbacks (pingback): These are links to other sites that are relevant to the particular
blog entry.
Now that you know what a blog is and how one is set up, how can you create one of your
own? Most blogs that are online today are fairly easy to maintain and do not require the
use of a web developer. They are pretty easy to navigate by any normal computer user.
Web applications can help you to easily create or make changes to your blog and to
promote your site to potential readers.
So what is a web application? It is something that can be used by regular internet users
via a network such as the World Wide Web. They are easy to use and require little
installation and memory space to run. With these applications, bloggers can make
updates from just about anywhere in the world as long as there is internet access. This
allows bloggers to easily maintain their blog without having to host their own server.
Many systems suc as Ecto, Elicit, and Blogger let maintain without even being online at
the time. Users can compose or edit without internet connection and simply connect to

No. 2 in Viral Marketing Series – 6 Ideas for Viral Marketing
Here are six ideas to help you start your viral marketing campaign:
1. Purchase the branding rights to a viral E-book. Allow people to give away your free E-book to their visitors. Then, their visitors will also give it away. This will just continue to spread your ad all over the Internet.
2. If you have the ability to set up a forum or other bulletin board, you really have a great tool. Allow people to use your online discussion board for their own website. Some people don’t have one. Just include your banner ad at the top of the board.
3. Do you have a knack for web design? Create some templates, graphics, etc. and upload them to your site. Then, allow people to give away your free web design graphics, fonts, templates, etc. Just include your ad on them or require people to link directly to your web site. Make sure that you include a link back to your site in the copyright notice and require them to keep your copyright notice in tact.
4. Write an E-book. Allow people to place an advertisement in your free E-book if, in exchange, they give away the E-book to their web visitors or E-zine subscribers.
5. Write articles that pertain to your product or service. Allow people to reprint your articles on their website, in their E-zine, newsletter, magazine or E-books. Include your resource box and the option for article reprints at the bottom of each article.
6. You can easily find products on the Internet that will sell you a license allowing you to distribute the product free of charge to other people. Look for those products that provide “branding rights”. That is where you can include your own name, website, and contact information.
