Blog Marketing and Home Businesses
Blog marketing is something that all blog owners do. They market their blog so that they can get readers, and make a profit from their blogs. Marketing their blog means to get it out there so that others that are interested in it can find it and read it. It is also a great way to sell things by using affiliate links and programs. Blog marketing can very well become a home business if that is something that you are interested in.
Having a home business by blog marketing would definitely entail that you have more than one blog. If this is something that you are considering, you will want to make a list of markets that your blogs can cover. You will find that your blogs will do best when you only have one market per blog. For example, if you have a blog about cats, you will not want to include anything on the blog about kitchen appliances. This is because the readers that read your blog and visit your blog to learn more about cats and what you have to say about them will not be interested in learning anything about kitchen appliances. Once you have overcome the relevancy issue, you will be ok. You can however, have a blog about pets, and then blog about all of the many pets that you want to include.
In order to make a living by blog marketing, you need to know every aspect of it. You need to know what needs to be done to get readers to your blog, how to write about the things that you are promoting and how to get it up in search engine rankings. Doing so will lead to successful blog marketing and making a home business income with it.
One big aspect of blog marketing is SEO. SEO is search engine optimization and it consists of optimizing your blog so that the search engines will find it and rank it as high as possible. Which also leads to more traffic and leads from your blog. If you do not have time to learn SEO, and apply it to all of your blogs, hiring someone to do this for you might be something that you want to consider. Especially if time is an issue.
Outsourcing much of your work is something that you will need to get used to if you plan on making a substantial amount of money with your blogs. You may want to hire bloggers or writers that can write the content for your blogs, and someone else that can leave comments on other blogs with a link back to yours. Spread out all of the duties on a spread sheet and decide how often each thing needs to be done for each blog. Doing so will help you to be more organized and know what you need to do when, as well as prioritize. Using a spread sheet will also help you to keep track of who is doing what, and keep you from asking more than one person to get one job done.
Blog marketing for a home business is not much different from any other home business. You are going to get out of it what you put into it. If you only put in a couple of hours a week into your blogs, you can not expect to make a full time income with them. However, being consistent and working on your blogs every chance that you get will pay off in the long run. You will also discover that there is no better feeling in the world than owning your own home business, and working for yourself.
Just remember to start small, and work hard. That is all you need to become successful at blog marketing and make the income that you are dreaming of. All of your hard work will pay off if you are persistent and keep it up.

This Game Sucks – A Guide To Giving New Games a Chance
It’s hard to get into a new groove once we’ve settled into a favorite pattern of doing something and that includes playing new games or trying a new game system. It’s important to remember however that just because you’re not used to the way a new game plays or the way that a new system runs – it doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with it. The following offers some advice on how to get over the hurdle of giving new games a chance.
1. Accept the errors of your ways. Nothing is perfect and that includes video games, the system that it plays on, and dare we say – even you! While trying a new game, you’re bound to trip all over the place and make even some of the goofiest mistakes that anyone could ever make. Try to remember that flaws are inevitable and the even the master of all masters (that’s you) can blunder your way through a new game. Mistakes don’t make you a terrible player. On the other hand, they don’t make the game stupid or dumb. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. If you find yourself making mistakes during a new game, it’s time that to slow down and give this game a second and more serious look. If something in the game tripped you up – you, the master of all masters – then the game couldn’t be as bad as you first thought.
2. Play a new game when you’re “in the mood”. What a fast-paced world we live in! So fast, that we mistakenly expect to understand a game within the first 5 minutes of putting into the console! Then when we’re not sure of what to do, the game becomes confusing, or just dumb. Never try a new game when you’re not in the mood to or when you’re in a rush. New games require patience and a thorough read of its manual.
3. See the positive. There’s something good about every video game – even the more violent ones (although we’re not prepared to defend violent video games). While checking out a new game, think about what you like about the game as opposed to what you can’t quite figure out what to do yet. A positive attitude will carry on to other aspects of the game and before you know it, you’ll be encouraged to carry on with it and make some real progress.
4. Don’t be such a know it all. In other words, don’t be blinded by your own conceit or skills in a particular genre of games that you close yourself off to new ways of accomplishing tasks. The biggest room is the room for improvement and your room is no exception. Understand that the game you’re playing may have something new to teach you about gaming as a whole. Then revel in it.
5. Continue to play. It’s highly doubtful that anyone will like a new game in one day. Keep playing a new game until you’re absolutely sure that you don’t ever want to see it in your console again.
6. Play by yourself. It’s quite possible that if you play a new game with a friend, you’ll be vulnerable to accepting your friend’s feelings about the game as your own. Play a new game by yourself so that you can interpret your own feelings about the game and not anyone else’s.

The Secrets of Internet and Online Marketing
You probably already use the Online World for many things. Whether you use it for entertainment, research, sending E-mail to friends and family, or just discussing numerous subject topics with others.
Of all the things you can do online, there is one that you should definitely know how to do. MARKET A BUSINESS ONLINE!
That’s right, with the power of the Online World to reach millions of people, Online Marketing is definitely an awesome tool that no business should be without. The simple fact that advertising is practically FREE. The ability to get the results of thousands of dollars in free publicity is practically unheard of in business today. Only recently have more and more people figured out how to utilize the ever exploding Online World to market their business efforts.
Think about it, there is probably no business in existence that could not benefit from free publicity! And the fact that properly utilizing free advertising raises net profits to unbelievable levels! Using any or all of the major online services, or the INTERNET, can help you market your business efforts.
Let’s start with plain-old advertising. On America Online, for example, they will let you place classified advertisements for FREE! They have a variety of classifications to choose from. By placing these small free ads you can generate some very quality leads that can turn into sales. Or if you are a really good marketer you could sell something straight from your free ad. Wouldn’t that be something, using the actual free ad to do all of the selling?
The other services offer free advertising from time to time. When they do charge for classified ads it is usually very inexpensive, and still a great deal considering how many people those ads can reach. When you place any advertisements you should always “code” your ads. This means put something in each individual ad that will tell you, if you get any business from it, which ad it came from. This way, you will probably find that some sections are better producers than others, and you will want to concentrate on these sections and not the ones that weren’t making any money.
To code an ad you could make them request a certain “report” for more information. You should give each report a different code for each ad. Such as: “ask for report #1tv”, this way you would know that this request came from the ad on television, for sale category, and so forth. If they send you an order straight from the ad, make them give you order #, which would be different for each ad. THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WHO ARE ADVERTISING ONLINE ARE NOT USING THESE AD CODES!!! THIS IS A MAJOR MARKETING MISTAKE!!!
By not tracking exactly which ads are making money, they are wasting their time by continually placing ads in “loser” categories. The actual code can be anything you want to assign to it. ALWAYS keep track of every ad you place. Make a note of what it said, where and when it was placed. You will be pleasantly surprised when you analyze your “ad data” and see some positive trends developing. Just repeat these trends and it will help you to make more money!
How would you like to find a name list of several hundred (or even thousands) people who might be interested in the particular product or service you are selling based on their jobs or interests? Wouldn’t that be great!? Well, you can! And the Online Services supply this service as a part of your regular membership.
This little unknown tool is called the “Member Directory!” You can do searches in the directory for other users with certain characteristics. For example, if you were selling fishing equipment, you could do a search by “fishing.” All of the people that were registered in the directory and had listed fishing as one of their hobbies would show up on that search list. You could now send each one of those people an e-mail message telling them about your product or service, it’s just like using a mailing list, but you have no postage! (*Make sure you check with your online service to see if they allow unsolicited E-mail.)
You can also get the names of several prospects by doing some “browsing” in the different topic forums. Using the earlier example of looking for people who fish, you could look under sports until you found a discussion on fishing. You could then take note of the users’ names that were participating in the discussions. You could do the same thing on the INTERNET with one of the many newsgroup topics that they have.
The bottom line is that you “test” and record the results of your Online Marketing efforts. Then just repeat the steps that are making you money and expand on them to reach more people.
Doing simple research on the Internet. The Internet has several mailing lists that are dedicated to marketing on the Internet. You will also find hundreds of articles on the World Wide Web. By searching one of the WWW search engines like Webcrawler you can find all the information you can read. Use search strings such as: “online marketing”, “internet advertising”, “selling online”, and so on.
You can also find many books on the subject at your local bookstore or being advertised online.
